Living in the northeast we all know what to do to get your vehicle ready for winter such as getting your winter tires and wiper on and making sure all your fluids are at the correct level. Here are a few more tips to keep in mind.
-Monitor the tire pressure often during the winter to ensure your tires are properly inflated. Cold temperatures have a negative effect on how well your tire pressure is maintained. Driving on tires that aren't properly inflated is hazardous.
-Keep your fuel tank full. This will help keep water from condensing in your fuel tank. It could also get you out of a difficult situation, should you end up stuck in traffic for an extended period of time.
-Maintain your battery. Poor or no starting usually happens because of a dead battery. Be sure your battery is in good working order before winter weather sets in. A warm battery has more power, so the colder it is the harder it is to start.
